MAROA, Ill. (WAND) - The Maroa-Forsyth school district announced it will move the entire district to remote learning for most of January.Â
The Maroa-Forsyth School Board voted Monday evening to move the district to remote learning from Jan. 4-22. The in-person option will then resume on Monday, Jan. 25.Â
Remote learning will not take place on Jan. 4, which is Teacher s Institute Day, or Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 18. We acknowledge and recognize the sacrifices you have had to make this year on many levels and this is yet another one, said Superintendent Dr. John Ahlemeyer. A sustainable long term In-Person Learning plan is our highest priority and we feel this decision will address that goal.
