Western Nevada College Education (WNC) instructor Sarah Lobsinger is co-leading the first Future Nevada Educators Summit on April 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The virtual summit is a joint effort led by seven Nevada System of Higher Education institutions, including WNC, the Nevada Department of Education, and other teacher licensure networks. The goal of the summit is to grow Nevada’s educator preparation pipeline.
Lobsinger, who is also co-facilitating one of the summit’s breakout sessions, is a former teacher at Carson High School and has seen the state struggle with teacher shortages.
