そのうえで、「感染のスピードが早いときはいろんな問題が起こる時で、東京はまさにそういう状況だ」として、今後、増加が見込まれる自宅療養者への対応強化を急ぐ考えを示しました。
一方で、「ロックダウン」を可能にする法整備の必要性を問われると、田村大臣は「欧米並みの罰則は私権を強く制限する」と慎重な姿勢を示す一方で、「次の感染症への対応策としてどういう対応が必要かは時間がかかっても議論していくべき話だ」と答えました。
