Norfolk City Council will decide the fate of three historic, city-owned homes built in the 1790s and the Norfolk Police & Fire Museum on Freemason Street.
The Taylor-Whittle House in the Freemason Historic District is one of the oldest in Norfolk. It was owned by the same family for 170 years before ownership was transferred to the city in 1972. Two organizations that used it for decades were forced to move out in 2011 and the house has remained shuttered ever since.
