Scottish Deer Centre: Exclusive behind-the-scenes look as park prepares to reopen Updated: May 24, 2021, 7:14 pm The Scottish Deer Centre will reopen its doors this week and we’ve had a sneak peek at the new owners’ plans. The Cupar park has been closed for 13 months and its future looked uncertain after it plunged into administration last year. However, it was saved in a buy-out by multi-millionaire gaming boss David Hamilton from Fife, and Dundee businessman Gavin Findlay. Gavin, left, and David in the centre’s refurbished shop. And the pair say that while their families initially thought they’d lost their minds, they have huge ambitions for the popular centre.

Updated: May 7 2021, 11.39am Graffiti and tattoo artist Adam Milroy battled time and the elements to create an expansive aquatic homage to Dundee’s famous Tay Whale. From the Tay Road Bridge, his artwork stretches out big and bold. Adam says: “When you come into a city famous for its creativity and the first thing you see is a big, colourful mural – you know where you’re at.” Now the work is finally done, he reflects: “I just want people to go down there and get a wee, friendly surprise.” ‘It was crazy’ The first part of the project to liven up hoarding panels along Waterfront Place was painted in late March 2020, just before lockdown.
