PASCO COUNTY, Fla. â With just over a month until taxes are due, local nonprofits tell ABC Action News theyâre seeing an overwhelming demand for tax help. Yet, COVID-19 is complicating the process and making appointments for free tax help harder to get.

NEWTOWN â The Newtown Senior Center is working to ensure the senior community has the most up to date and consistent information about the upcoming Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
Residents age 75 and over may find vaccine sites and book an appointment in surrounding areas through the VAMS portal at dphsubmissions.ct.gov/OnlineVaccine or by calling 877-918-2224.
Senior residents who do not have computer access can call the senior center at 203-270-4310 and a member of the senior center team can assist.
The AARP Foundation Tax Aid program reported, âWhile AARP plans to open if/when they can work out safe re-opening plans for some of their sites, unfortunately, they will be unable to open/serve the Newtown Senior Center this season due to staffing.â
