The State government has been urged to develop more new tourism destinations to attract new and repeat visitors to Sabah following the recovery of the State tourism sector, said Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Christina Liew
Sabah is the only state in Malaysia to boast of having a geothermal green energy power generation potential.
This geothermal source was first discovered in Apas Kiri, Tawau during 2008-2009 by the Minerals and Geoscience Department. Its location, within Mount Andrassy Forest Reserve and Tawau Hills Park with surface springs spewing deep underlying neutral chloride fluid rising and outflowing with temperature of about 200°C
KOTA KINABALU: Tawau MP Datuk Christina Liew is marshalling support from fellow Pakatan Harapan parties to be retained for the Sabah east coast seat after losing the state PKR chairmanship.
The Sabah Parks and 1StopBorneo Wildlife launched nine new Wildlife Booklets and Posters to provide wildlife educational materials to be accessible for the public to learn more about the local flora and fauna.
The six posters published are titled Primates of Sabah, Amazing Turtles of Borneo, Rafflesias of Sabah, Snakes of Tawau Hills Park, Butterflies of Sabah, and Hornbills of Sabah.
Along with that, three booklets launched are Fun Facts Herpetofauna of Borneo, Fun Facts Hornbills of Sabah, and 50 Facts about Sunda Pangolins in Borneo
Project Noah is a tool that nature lovers can use to explore and document local wildlife and a common technology platform that research groups can use to harness the power of citizen scientists everywhere.
