German Chancellor Olaf Scholz addressed concerns regarding Germany’s decision to delay supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine during the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 17, emphasizing Germany’s role as one of the largest suppliers of military aid to Ukraine.
As Berlin remains reluctant to supply Kyiv with Taurus long-range missiles, the UK has proposed to send more of its Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine—if they are replaced with Taurus, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Jan. 24.
German Taurus Systems GmbH, the company that produces Taurus cruise missiles, is ready to swiftly replenish missile stocks for Ukraine, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle said on Jan. 20.
