Prominent European weapon manufacturer MBDA has recently announced that manufacturing of its Taurus cruise missiles has been put on hold due to an allegedly slow rate of weapon procurement orders issued by Germany.
European missile manufacturer MBDA has suspended the manufacturing of Taurus cruise missiles due to contracting issues, Der Spiegel has reported.According to the magazine, this development came as MBDA urges the German federal government to speed up the process of drawing up weapon procurement orders.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Friday that the supply of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine is challenging as it takes time to agree on every detail.
