STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The St. George Theatre Restoration (SGT) will commemorate the somber, one-year anniversary of New York City’s cultural sector suddenly shutting down because of the pandemic on Thursday.
The event will take place in the newly-renovated outdoor front vestibule of the St. George Theatre at 5:15 p.m. and features live music, with a special performance by Bobby Wilson, the internationally-renowned entertainer and son of the legendary Jackie Wilson.
Thursday’s program will also include remarks from Staten Island elected officials, theatre co-founders Doreen Cugno and Luanne Sorrentino, and Deputy Borough President Ed Burke.
