rakesh jhunjhunwala: Will Big Bull Jhunjhunwala s Rs 730 crore stock bet pay off?

NEW DELHI: One stock that ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought recently was Tata Motors. The Big Bull’s 1.29 per cent stake purchase in the Tata Group firm is worth Rs 730 crore today, after the stock rallied 37 per cent in the past three months. With Brexit concerns out of the way, can this stock deliver even better returns? Dalal Street analysts have mixed views on the stock, with a consensus ‘hold’ as they want to see further signs of improvement in the business. “Tata Motors has this habit of making a lot of promise, but not actually delivering. When it delivers, it is one-off, and then a pension plan or some other thing comes in and hits it in a different way. I am a little wary of predicting what will happen to Tata Motors. I will just wait till the results, see what commentary comes in before we can go in,” Deepak Shenoy, Founder at Capital Mind, told ETNOW.

Jaguar XE And XF Production Paused Due To Supplier Problem

Jaguar XE And XF Production Paused Due To Supplier Problem Dec 15, 2020 at 4:07am ET ++ Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant has been hit by a coronavirus-related supplier issue. It appears Honda is not the only automaker that has to deal with a supplier issue at a European plant as Jaguar Land Rover is experiencing the same problem. Citing “an issue related to Covid” at its Castle Bromwich factory, the Tata Motors-owned marque has temporarily halted assembly of the XE and XF sedans. The Guardian reports production actually stopped last week and won’t be resumed until Christmas when JLR estimates it will regain access to the key components the sedans need. The silver lining is that the factory is still partially operational as the production of the F-Type sports car has not been affected by the lack of parts.
