Lorry drivers stuck in Newark didnât go hungry on Christmas Eve thanks to those who took pity on their plight.
Several drivers were stranded in the townâs lorry park following Franceâs ban on freight from the UK.

When trucker Sandy Bannatyne visited Newark lorry park the day before Christmas Eve, he met drivers who said they were set to go home that evening.
But when Sandy returned the next day to check on his colleagues (pictured) several had still yet to leave because of the issues.
