Elwick has recovered quickly from last month’s clod debacle but the fallout continues, with an independent investigation expected to be concluded by March as Tassie stewards are being tutored by senior counterparts from the mainland.
The beleaguered Hobart track was given the thumbs-up by stewards, Tasracing and participants after a dozen horses galloped there yesterday.
Elwick now has been given the all-clear to begin Hobart’s summer carnival on Sunday, leading into the Tasmanian Derby and Hobart Cup meetings in early February.
