I was up at the National D-Day Memorial on the last Saturday of November to see our soldiers off, take photos and take notes. The Memorial was closed to the public but media was allowed in. The soldiers seemed glad to see the media giving their departure ceremony some coverage. It was cold, but I had watched the weather forecasts and was dressed appropriately. That and the fact that it was a sunny day meant that I didn't freeze.
