Police seize automatic rifle, arrest 3 by 20210426 Three men are cur­rent­ly as­sist­ing po­lice with their in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to the seizure of an au­to­mat­ic ri­fle in Laven­tille this morn­ing. The men were in­ter­cept­ed by of­fi­cers at­tached to the Port-of-Spain Di­vi­sion­al Task Force (PoS­DTF), led by Sgt Alexan­der. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 11.15 am, while on pa­trol in the Leau Place, Laven­tille area, po­lice of­fi­cers ob­served a Toy­ota Ter­cel mo­tor ve­hi­cle re­vers­ing along a road­way dan­ger­ous­ly. Po­lice or­dered the car to stop and searched the ve­hi­cle in which they al­leged­ly found a ri­fle in the cen­tre con­sole.
