Police seize automatic rifle, arrest 3

Three men are currently assisting police with their investigations into the seizure of an automatic rifle in Laventille this morning. The men were intercepted by officers attached to the Port-of-Spain Divisional Task Force (PoSDTF), led by Sgt Alexander.
According to police reports, around 11.15 am, while on patrol in the Leau Place, Laventille area, police officers observed a Toyota Tercel motor vehicle reversing along a roadway dangerously. Police ordered the car to stop and searched the vehicle in which they allegedly found a rifle in the centre console.
