Nagaland: Talk show on scope of music industry held

Our Reporter Dimapur, Aug. 13 (EMN): The Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) Dimapur district in collaboration with Yodh-Beth International held a talk show on the topic ‘scope and scale of music in the present economy’ in Dimapur on Saturday at Yodh-Beth International Ministry (YBIM) chapel hall Duncan Basti, Dimapur. During the discussion, Managing Founder and Director of Pheto Music and Film Academy, Kashito Kiba, said that many youngsters and artistes are growing in the Nagaland music industry. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Kiba spoke on how musicians should grow and sell their products to the outside world. Art exhibition underway at RCEMPA - Eastern Mirror

Kohima, Aug. 9 (EMN): ‘Art Residency,’ an art exhibition organised jointly organised by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) and Art for Change Foundation, New Delhi, was unveiled on Tuesday at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in Jotsoma under Kohima district. The exhibition displayed various artworks of the seven visual artists from within and outside the state, who are part of the residency programme. Speaking on the occasion as guest of honour, advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha, stated that under the visionary leadership of the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, various successful programmes have been undertaken for promoting and guiding the youth. He also appreciated the ‘Art for Change Foundation’ for coming to Nagaland and exchanging their talents with the Naga artists and youth. TaFMA 'Art Residency' gets underway at RCEMPA

Our Correspondent Kohima, Aug. 2 (EMN): A nine-day-long ‘Art Residency,’ organised by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) and Art for Change Foundation, commenced at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA) in Jotsoma on Tuesday. While the intention for holding the art residency is to create a cross-cultural experience, it also seeks to create a space for important conversations through artists’ works which they would be producing in the next few days. Executive director of Art for Change Foundation, Isaac Gergan, said the main objective is to seek out the critical dialogues that can be addressed through conversations and through the art they produce.
