On Tuesday afternoon, Amarillo police issued an advisory about a student in possession of a firearm at a local high school.
The release states: On Tuesday May 4th, an APD Liaison Officer at Tascosa High School was made aware of a student who was in possession of a firearm. The student was detained, and the firearm was secured. There is no evidence of any further threats to anyone at the school. The investigation is ongoing.
