New food truck The Sandwich Scoop to debut in Port Huron

The Sandwich Scoop, that is. Croswell resident Taryn Strausser and her mom are debuting the new food truck in downtown Port Huron and joining the three other food trucks Strausser operates. “We re just building our own little fleet,” she said. Strausser said her family has had the trailer for The Sandwich Scoop for about four to five months and have been waiting to figure out a name. Its first day of operation will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 5 in front of Ruboo Boutique at 230 Huron Ave. in Port Huron. The Sandwich Scoop’s menu includes salads, ice cream and sandwiches, Strausser said.
