Weeks behind neighboring Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties, Broward County has opened its application process for past-due renters and their landlords to claim a share of $59 million in federal emergency rental assistance funds transferred to county coffers in January.
Palm Beach County is inviting tenants to apply online for $45 million in emergency rental assistance as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Soon, applications will be accepted at 10 library branches and five nonprofit organizations.
