CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â All southbound traffic on Interstate 37 near the highway s interchange with Crosstown Expressway will be closed from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. tonight and Saturday.
This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Motorists heading southbound on IH-37 towards downtown and North Beach will be detoured onto southbound Crosstown Expressway, make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and then back to southbound IH 37.
Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
