Despite the Covid-19 pandemic the Nation of Islam will still host its annual Savioursâ Day Convention, presenting the opportunity for participants from around the world to connect virtually. Savioursâ Day is the commemoration of the birth of Master Fard Muhammad, Allah in Person, the Great Mahdi and Teacher of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who appeared in North America on July 4, 1930 to deliver the Black man and woman. This yearâs observance will be convened virtually February 26-28.
Participants can register now online at noi.org. Like previous in-person convention gatherings, various workshops, a youth summit, town hall meetings, the Muslim Friday prayer service Salat-al Jumuâah and a special drill exhibition video presentation are all part of the planned online festivities.

CHICAGOâCongressman Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.) hosted an online virtual forum with the Leaders Network and others concerning wrongful police raids in Chicago.
Participants included members of the Leaders Network; Illinois State Representative 9th District Nicole âNikkiâ Harvey; Senior Pastor Marshall Hatch; Betty Magness of Rainbow PUSH; Thomas L. E. Stovall of Urban Reformers and many other community leaders. Participants want a Congressional inquiry on police raids and the subsequent fallout for victims who have been traumatized in these incidents.
