Police have arrested and formally charged 20 year old Jaidan Millington from Bath Land, St. John and 23 year old Selwyn Maynard of 1st Avenue Garden Land, Country Road, St Michael for the murder of Tarik Straker which occurred on the 23rd of December 2020.
In addition,
Jaidan Millington was formally charged for Wounding with Intent and Use of Firearm in relation to a shooting incident which occurred on the 5th of January 2021 where the victim DeShawn Bobb was shot.
They both appeared at the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #1 on Thursday the 14th of January 2021 before Chief Magistrate Mr. Ian Weekes where they were not required to plead to the indictable offences.

Two men charged with murder have been remanded into custody at St Ann’s Fort.
Jaidan Malike Millington, 21, of Bath Land, St John and Selwyn Richard Maurice Maynard, 23, of Garden Land, Country Road, St Michael are charged in connection with the December 23, 2020 murder of Tarik Straker.
Millington is also separately charged with possession of a firearm on January 5 this year with intent to wound and unlawfully wounding DeShawn Bobb on the same date with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him.

They were not required to plead to the indictable charges when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes today.

A 22-YEAR-OLD man gunned down on Wednesday night may not have been the intended target.
This is according to some residents of Headley Land, Bank Hall, St Michael, after Tarik Straker, of Long Gap, Spooners Hill, also in St Michael, was shot and killed.
His homicide was the 39th for the year.
Police reported that around 7:20 p.m. they responded after an anonymous caller told them about loud explosions heard in the area.
When they arrived, they saw Straker lying on a small pasture in Headley Land.
Yesterday, most residents were tight-lipped about the incident while others said they did not know the young man, because he did not live in the area.

A man who was shot and killed on Wednesday has been identified as Tarik Straker, 22, of Long Gap, Spooners Hill, St Michael.
Police are continuing investigations into the unnatural death of Straker, who was killed after 7 o’clock at Headley Land, Bank Hall, St Michael.
Lawmen said they received the anonymous report of loud explosions in the area and that a man had been shot around 7:20 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Straker lying on an open pasture with several wounds about the body.
