New Batch Of Nigerians Evacuated From Warring Sudan Arrives In Abuja

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has said that a total of 1,600 Nigerians stranded in warring Sudan have been evacuated and returned to Nigeria.   The NiDCOM stated that the evacuees were brought back to the country by the Nigerian government with the assistance of some private airlines and organisations.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has announced that the Nigerian government with the assistance of some private airlines and organisations have evacuated a total of 1,471 Nigerians from warring Sudan to Nigeria.   According to NiDCOM, the sixth and seventh batches of the evacuees numbering 424 who were airlifted from Aswan International Airport, Egypt, landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja around 12:30 pm local time on Sunday via Tarco and Azman Air.
