Wheelchair and mobility company Numotion has appointed Tara Kersten to be the Brentwood-based company’s chief medical officer.
Kersten currently practices physical medicine and rehabilitation at Advocate Aurora Health where she focuses on electro-diagnostic testing, spasticity management and customer wheelchair seating, according to a press release. In her tenure, she has led one of the largest interdisciplinary wheelchair seating clinics in Southeast Wisconsin a role she has previously worked with Numotion representatives with and intends to retain and has backed legislation to improve access to complex rehabilitation technology.
In her new role, she will guide clinical strategy and support advocacy efforts for Numotion with clinicians, referrals, payers, regulators and government bodies.
