Community has always played prominently in the lives of Jack and Dianne Buckham with an importance that extends to their newest role as the honouree family for the Investors Group Walk for Memories. I think we can make a difference as a community, said Jack, retired teacher and former athletic coach at Kam High. I know they can make a difference in Dianne s life.
The Buckhams will be front and centre as the local chapter of the Alzheimer Society builds support for the fundraising walk to be held Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Tournament Capital Centre.
Surrounded by extended family - Dianne arrived later - Jack talked about their experience in coping with Alzheimer s disease over the past three years, a generation after it claimed her mother.
