TEXAS Biologists with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are still analyzing how February’s historic winter storm impacted fish and wildlife in the state.
One Central Texas beekeeper says that the storm had a devastating effect on many of her hives.
“I just love bees so much, said Tara Chapman, owner and founder of Two Hives Honey. They re fascinating creatures, and there s never any shortage of learning.”
After taking a beekeeping class about six years ago, Chapman quit her job with the CIA to start Two Hives Honey.
“I always tell people, nothing tastes as good as honey from your own beehives, said Chapman.

BARRIE, ONT. The owners of Forgather Floral Co, a floral design shop in Barrie, hope to continue to brighten the day of deserving individuals with a contest they held during the pandemic, but they need help to continue the much-needed pick-me-up. The Dunlop Street East flower shop held a giveaway contest asking for nominations of someone they could surprise with a bouquet. The recipient was chosen every other Friday, but they had to stop holding the contest regularly because of cost. Owners Tara Chapman and Kenzie Churchward want to provide flowers biweekly but need donations to keep it going.
