buildings. but the police presence around the perimeter is extending. i have been here just about an hour and a half and it has grown about two blocks in each direction. and i can t see much, they won t allow us directly to the scene, but i see yellow tape blocking off the area. a tent, a lot of people here, staffers are confused and don t really know what is going on. and you heard the reporting there on the possible bomb or explosive threat. yeah, i wonder where you were when you first heard about this. were you inside, and obviously we re in a situation where if they re evacuating the buildings, they don t have to just come out the doors, probably not huge numbers of people there since the house is not in session and we re looking at an unknown number of staffers? yeah, exactly right.
ride out the storm but for the most part i mean, vera beach is like a ghost town, i know it s early in the morning, take a look behind me, one example, one of the hotels here on the beach, block off the beach, you have tape blocking off the exits and entrances, completely dark, there s no one there, not even any employees, most of the stores here on main strip are completely boarded up with sandbags, not too many people out here right now, we want to show you video, we went to office of emergency management yesterday here in the county in lake river county, indian river county, excuse me, in the video you will see two guys bud and gary and they are volunteers, they volunteer their time, that s what they do, they ride out the storms to protect their community, their emergency coordinators for amateur radio services and they do this because they love their community and want to help everyone, listen to them. i m a native

apparently what was happening to him this morning which was he was being arrested. they were having a friendly discussion. now he s in custody. very quickly, david, you were there just because of a good reporter s instinct. you knew the grand jury met yesterday and you just on a hunch thought maybe it would be good to go see what roger stone was up to this morning. you happened to be there and our cnn cameras captured this. last question, behind you did any agents stay behind? are they executing a search warrant on the house or did they all leave with roger stone? reporter: we re about a hundred yards up the street so we are not seeing any activity down the street from here. a lot of cars did peel out this morning when roger stone was taken. not much activity left here. there is yellow tape blocking access to the street in ft. lauderdale. something is going on down there. whether or not it s something of interest to the investigation, it s unclear.
