Tanzania’s Health Minister reiterated her government and President John Magufuli’s stance that she had no plans to import Covid-19 vaccines. This comes as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added the country to those with the highest-risk level for Covid-19. This, despite Tanzania having stopped publishing data regarding COVID cases in April last year. Our Health Correspondent Rhoda Odhiambo discusses the relevance of these latest developments.
