WASHINGTON - In retrospect, George Washington Coach Jamion Christian might have anticipated the cancellation of Wednesday night s home game against Massachusetts.
In a college basketball season defined by volatility, coaches and administrators from both schools were prepared to make an abrupt decision. But that preparation never could have accounted for the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, which prompted U-Mass. to furtively escape the city while GW steeled itself in an attempt to stay safe.
