A Warminster-based military veteran who uses art as a recovery tool after being medically discharged from the Army has had one of his designs selected to be sold for charity. Help for Heroes has chosen Thomas Parfitt’s ‘Have A Cracking Christmas’ design – which offers a cheeky cartoon of Santa’s behind – for a sweatshirt in its Christmas collection. The clothing product is on sale via Help for Heroes’ website. Funds raised from the sale of the merchandise will enable the charity to support other wounded and sick veterans and their families. Former infantry soldier Thomas, 33, served for 13 years as a Warrior Gunner in the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment until he was medically discharged with cardiac complications in 2016.
