DU halls to open after May 17: VC

In accordance with the recent decision by the education ministry, Dhaka University dormitories will not open and no major examinations will be held before May 17, VC Professor Akhtaruzzaman said today.
The decision was taken by the university s academic council in a meeting this morning, VC said while talking to reporters following the meeting.
Students have to get vaccinated before moving into the dormitories, the council decided.
But, if anybody cannot get inoculated due to physical condition, their case will be considered as per doctor s prescription, he said.
