KU postpones all offline exams till May 2; main campus to remain closed till Wednesday SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir has postponed all its offline PG and UG examinations till May 2, 2021 in view of the prevailing circumstances, even as it decided that the main campus shall continue to remain closed upto and including Wednesday (April 28, 2021). The decisions to this effect were taken after detailed deliberations over the prevailing circumstances at a high-level meeting of the varsity’s advisory committee, chaired in online mode by Prof Neelofar Khan. The meeting however decided that online classes, as already notified, shall continue to be held by the teaching departments.

KU To Launch New Administration Management System Soon KU To Launch New Administration Management System Soon The AMS, designed and developed by the varsity’s Directorate of Information Technology and Support System, aims to consolidate data pertaining to employees, departments and positions while facilitating online submission of proposals and approvals thereof. The AMS, Prof Talat said, was the need of the hour to further boost the efficiency of the university system. “The more we facilitate the introduction of technology into our systems of governance and functioning, the better the results and outcome would be,” he said, asserting that the AMS modules include HR Management, Leave, Budget, Salary, Attendance and e-Notes.

Prof Irshad Nawchoo takes charge as KU s Controller of Examinations – Kashmir Reader

  Srinagar: Professor Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo, Dean of Kashmir University’s School of Biological Sciences Thursday took charge of the varsity’s Controller of Examinations. An order issued by Assistant Registrar Administration (Teaching Wing) read that Prof Nawchoo shall function as in-charge Controller of Examinations, in addition to his own duties, till the appointment of the Controller of Examinations is made. He replaced Dr Mohammad Yousuf Bhat who attained superannuation. Prof Nawchoo, having teaching experience of two decades, has served the university in various capacities previously, including Director Admissions and Competitive Examinations, Head Department of Botany and Director Centre for Biodiversity and Plant Taxonomy. Presently, he also holds the charge of Coordinator J&K SET, Secretary J&K Academy of Sciences and Supervisor CSIR UGC-NET.
