A former Hutto city manager has filed a federal lawsuit against the city, saying he was racially discriminated against when the City Council voided his $412,000 separation agreement last week.
Odis Jones, who is Black, also alleged in the suit that some council members tried to blackmail him out of receiving severance payments by threatening to leak information about an employee s complaint against him. The employee s complaint was found to be without merit, the lawsuit said.
