According to posts from several area departments, the mountain fire broke out in Franklin Township.
York County’s Live Incident reports show the fire call went out around 5 p.m., along South Mountain Road.
Linglestown, Hummelstown and Rutherford fire companies were dispatched out of Dauphin County, and Newberry Township and Wellsville fire companies out of York County.
Northern York County Fire and Rescue shared two posts earlier Sunday, warning people about the high fire danger level.
