SPRINGFIELD A year has passed since TaNia Baker was fatally shot on Bob Little Road in front of her grandmother s house. Her killer still hasn t been found.
Springfield police officials held a press conference Sunday afternoon, the anniversary of Baker s killing, to talk with the family about what they know so far. Police announced they will be expanding their investigation outside of Bay County in the coming weeks and hope to soon bring the suspect to justice.
The event was an emotional scene as Baker s family members relived the events that took place that night on Bob Little Road.
Baker came to Springfield from Atlanta, Georgia, to pick up her then 8-month-old son to take him back home. As she strapped him into a car seat, she was shot by a gunman who apparently fled without being seen.
