Double murder-suicide under investigation in Castleton-on-Hudson

Jacquie Slater & WNYT Staff Created: January 14, 2021 12:58 PM CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON - State police have released the names of the people involved in Wednesday night s double murder-suicide in Castelton-on-Hudson. Jasleen Kaur, 14, and Manjeet Kaur, 55, were killed. Police say 57-year-old Bhupinder Singh killed them before shooting himself. The man s wife, 40-year-old Rashpal Kaur, was shot in the arm, but was able to run for help and is expected to survive. It all happened around 9:30 p.m. at 1313 Angelo Avenue. The neighbor next door, Jim, said the inured woman first rang their doorbell before running up the street to other homes trying to get help.
