TAMPA, Fla. - Passengers are left scrambling and stranded after Spirit Airlines cancels hundreds of flights nationwide. Unhappy travelers first reported mass delays over the weekend.
At Tampa International Airport, there were long lines and short tempers Monday. Passengers waited, hoping for help at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter. We stood in line for over three hours to speak to someone, said Kim Streit. It hasn t moved, so we ve been standing in the same spot the whole time, Doug Rose said.
The low-cost carrier is one of the top five airlines at TPA, but on Sunday and Monday, all planes were essentially grounded.
