The University of South Florida Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name Rhea Law as the university’s president-elect. Law, who has been USF’s interim president since August, will become the university’s eighth president and the first USF alum to fill the role, pending confirmation by the Florida Board of Governors (BOG) next week.
The USF Presidential Search Committee has decided to move forward with Rhea Law, USF’s interim president, and Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Talley (U.S. Army, Ret.), a senior executive with military, academic, corporate and government experience.
The USF Presidential Search Committee interviewed Interim President Rhea Law and Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Talley and voted to advance both candidates to the next round, which includes visits on each of USF’s three campuses, followed by interviews with the USF Board of Trustees.
