Linda Darnell Groce NEW PALESTINE Linda Darnell Groce of New Palestine, Indiana, passed away on December 9, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana after a short (but tough) fight against cancer. She was 70 years old. Linda was born in Cumberland, Kentucky on January 8, 1950 to Hoyle and Cena Ferguson. Linda graduated from Clinton County High School in 1968 and studied for two years in college before moving to Indianapolis. In 1977, the family moved to New Palestine where Linda would live the rest of her life. While caring for her family, she also worked full-time until she retired after 30 years of service from Allison Transmission/GM. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time fixing up her house with her dog, Ebony, as much as she did going on many trips with her unbelievably kind and supportive friends.
