Feb 1, 2021 CHESTER, W.Va. Donna Lou Perkins, formerly of Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2021 at the Orchards Stone Pear Pavilion. She was 82. Born in East Liverpool, July 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Cunningham Ward. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1956. She worked at Riverview Greenhouse at one time and later worked in the service department at Hills Department Store. For many years she also worked as a poll worker for the Columbiana County Board of Elections. Donna was associated with the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary where she was named Volunteer of the Year. She was also active with her high school class and a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. She attended Hope Christian Fellowship and most recently she attended the Tri-State Community Church in Chester.

Facebook Share A man was killed today when a small plane he was flying from Kentucky to Florida crashed in Alabama, the authorities said. Elliott George Charles Leadlay, of Merritt Island, Florida, was found dead at the scene of the crash in Etowah County on Saturday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Leadlay was 74. Deputies said they first learned of the crash when someone called 911 just before 1 p.m. to report hearing what sounded like a plane crash in the Sand Valley area. About 13 minutes later a second caller reported finding the crash site in a field behind a home on the 200 block of Kelley Lane off Sand Valley Road on the west side of the county, according to a press release from Tammy Bean, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
