No Injuries Reported In Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 30 In Carroll Thursday

No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in Carroll Thursday morning. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched at approximately 11:51 a.m. to the scene of the accident in the 500 block of U.S. Highway 30. According to their initial investigation, a 1999 Saturn SL sedan, driven by 61-year-old James Schwaller of Coon Rapids, was traveling westbound and slowing to turn off the highway. A 2010 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 52-year-old Tami Trimble of Carroll, was traveling westbound behind Schwaller and was unable to stop in time for the turning vehicle. Trimble attempted to change lanes to avoid a collision but struck the sedan on the rear driver’s side, causing functional damage to both vehicles. Trimble was cited for failure to maintain control.
