BROCKTON A Brockton police officer, who is now living in Florida while his retirement is pending, was arrested last week and charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop. Police said he responded to his arrest with a profanity-laced tirade.
Mark R. Reardon, 57, was arrested in Marco Island, Florida, on Thursday, April 22 following an early morning motor vehicle stop.
Reardon, who was promoted to temporary sergeant in December 2018 and had been with the Brockton Police Department since September 1988, was not actively working for the department. Officer Reardon is a Florida resident pending retirement and is no longer an active Brockton police officer, Police Chief Emanuel Gomes said.
