JOHOR BARU: As the Covid-19 pandemic enters the second year, Muslims will once again have a markedly different and toned down Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration today.
Surau Assobirin Taman Bukit Dahlia committee president Misbah Fadzi said they would not be conducting any korban activities (animal sacrificial rites) for the first time.
“However, those who require basic necessities such as rice, oil and flour can still drop by to get the supplies at the food bank that we have set up at the surau,” he said.
Misbah said only 20 people would be performing the Hari Raya Aidiladha prayers this year as per the standard operating procedure for surau in Johor.
