Kota Kinabalu: A 35-year-old labourer was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here Thursday with trafficking 100.36gm of syabu.
Azrul Adjeran, who appeared before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles, was accused of committing the offence at 5.45pm on May 4, this year in front of a security guard kiosk at Taman Bakti Ikhlas in Inanam.
However, no plea was recorded from Azrul after the charge was read out to him, who was in central lock up in Kepayan, via video conferencing.

The charge under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, carries a punishment with either the death penalty or life in prison and whipping with a minimum of 15 strokes.
