hacks and to the democratic national committee and individual e-mail accounts associated with that. they say this arrest has nothing to do with that. that this is a criminal case that s been pending for a couple of years. this is a russian man that czech authorities say was arrested in a prague hotel. that he was actually arrested october 5th. when he was confronted by the czech police, he collapsed and was taken to a hospital but he apparently recovered. he had a court hearing on october 12th. now there s a question the czech authorities have to decide what to do with him. the united states will apparently seek his extradition to come here and face charges in the united states. which is the normal routine that the government here has followed for years in these computer hacking cases. but the russians say no, we want him back. so there s a bit of a fight over that. but it s not believed to be connected to the political hacking, tam ron. all right, pete, thank you very much for clear
residents voted early and delivered obama his second victory in the state. this year, hillary clinton has been trying to win over obama s voters in ohio. especially african-americans. nbc s chris jansing has the latest in our battleground america series. she is live in cleveland. and i saw you earlier getting some interesting insight from voters you ve been talking to, chris. yes, it is really interesting. because there seems to be an effective push that s been put in place by the clinton campaign. you ll remember it wasn t so long ago, tam ron, just a few weeks ago, that it looked like hillary clinton was going to lose ohio. now when you see these voters and more than 400 have come out to cleveland, to cuyahoga county for early voting today. so much of that driven by the big push put in place by hillary clinton to get people to vote early. and the reason is that in 2012, early voting was the difference.
okay. let me bring in pete williams since we have referred to him so many times already. pete, you are working the phones, as we like to say here. we understand the anxiety here. people want a solution. they want to know who the individual is responsible for this. especially this has been compare so much to the atlanta olympic park bombing and we know it took many years for someone to be convicted for that crime. but pete, back to the information with the surveillance video, and i don t know if we have the answers to this, and i m hedging the bets we do not. but if the video shows someone placing that bag down, wouldn t that video show the bag exploding? would the camera move away from that vantage point? would that tell the story perhaps? it might. it might be obscured by people in the foreground. could be a momentary gap. but let me get to where the facts are. tam ron, at t tamron, at the end of the day, someone will be right. pick your conclusion. someone is right out there.
