The trial of Paul Flores, the man accused of killing California college student Kristin Smart in 1996, begins today with opening statements in Monterey County.
Opening statements for the trial of Paul and Ruben Flores are scheduled Monday in Monterey County Superior Court in Salinas. They were arrested and charged on suspicion of killing and hiding the body of Kristin Smart in 1996.
