Politicians in Tallinn and Narva said on Friday there are not enough teachers, textbooks or resources and doubt the transition to Estonian language education can take place smoothly in 2024.
The City of Tallinn is to host events highlighting national minorities living in Tallinn and their cultures, via free concerts, film screenings, picnics, language and culture cafés, children's events and much more, the city government said.
Money allocated for Estonian language learning under a pilot project was used for other activities by Russian schools, the Ministry of Education has said. It now plans to stop the €5 million scheme.
