Jan 27, 2021 The National Weather Service confirmed that an official tornado touched down shortly after 11:42 a.m. local time before heading east. Over 500 power outages where reported. A twin engine aircraft flipped over at the Tallahassee Airport and there was damage done to some of the private hangers. The Tallahassee International Airport was also temporarily closed for damage assessment, and no injuries were reported.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A line of severe storms that swept through Tallahassee and spawned a probable tornado that damaged the airport a midday is continuing to move east.
