Rockwell Automation is Harnessing Power of Information for Mine-to-Market Visibility

Rockwell Automation Company will showcase the Connected Mine and associated enablement technologies during Austmine 2021 When it comes to mining, digitalisation is more than just the latest buzz word. Market pressures are driving mining operators to use the latest digital technologies to improve operational efficiencies, maximise yield recoveries, meet regulatory requirements and maintain safe environments. When a global pandemic adds to this complexity, the power of digitalisation is even more amplified. Digitalisation can give mining operations the competitive edge they need to thrive in today’s mining industry. “Australian miners have been on the forefront of the innovation curve as a result of deployment costs to remote sites and the high costs of labour. This has by default, uniquely positioned Australian miners in respect to Covid-19,” said Kevin Cole, industry sales manager & OEM sales manager, Rockwell Automation.

Rockwell and Comau to unify robot control

Rockwell and Comau to unify robot control Rockwell and Comau are joining forces to maximise manufacturing efficiencies through unified robot control solutions. “Industrial companies are looking for efficient ways to integrate robotics into their operations for process optimization and agility,” says Rockwell’s Blake Moret, “Rockwell Automation’s collaboration with Comau will simplify programming and lifecycle management.”  Engineers be able to programme their machines in one environment, including Comau robot arms  controlled through Rockwell Automation’s Logix-based controllers. Rockwell Automation’s Studio 5000   automation system design software gets traditionally separate machine control and robot systems to work together using two different software tools.
