to put boots on the ground in pakistan for a number of reasons. therefore the drones are the only effective way we have of degrading a range of actors. it s important to keep in mind that there s no taliban per se. there s groups associated with two different talibans thoorkser very different. the problem with this particular case as well as with the heedly case from a number of months back, we re now having a situation that s much more akin to what the british have been experiencing for years. and that is, that parts of our diaspora are radicalizing because of our policies elsewhere. and there are very few places where they can get training contingent upon radicalizing here and that remains pakistan. going back to your opening point, because we have boots on the ground in afghanistan, pakistan is necessarily a support theater. and we have been systematically unable and unwilling to put pressure on the pakistanis to close down those camps that quote operate against kashmir.
